Meet Eliott

Eliott Hughes is a servant leader, problem solver, and advocate for the people of Connecticut—and that's exactly the kind of leadership our state needs today. For nearly 30 years, Eliott has built a career as an engineer, executive, and leader, helping organizations solve complex challenges, develop future leaders, and deliver meaningful results. Throughout his professional journey with companies including Motorola, Northrop Grumman, and Aetna/CVS Health, he has earned a reputation for bringing together diverse perspectives, building strong teams, and turning innovative ideas into practical solutions.
What sets Eliott apart is not simply his experience, but the way he leads. In every role, he brings a servant's heart, an empathetic ear, and a genuine commitment to understanding the needs of others. Whether mentoring emerging leaders, improving business operations, or tackling difficult organizational challenges, Eliott believes that leadership begins with listening, serving, and putting people first. His approach has always been grounded in integrity, accountability, and a desire to leave every organization and community stronger than he found it.

For more than 16 years, Eliott and his family have proudly called South Windsor home. Together, they are active throughout Senate District 3—from East Hartford to East Windsor to Ellington—supporting local businesses, participating in community activities, youth programs, and building lasting relationships with friends and neighbors. Through years of involvement across the district, Eliott has gained firsthand insight into both the opportunities and challenges facing local families, small businesses, and our communities.
Eliott believes residents deserve leaders who listen, respect taxpayers, and focus on practical solutions instead of partisan politics. Most importantly, he believes the people of Senate District 3 deserve a real choice: a leader who will put our communities first, protect our values, strengthen our local economy, and work every day to build a better future for the next generation.
Meet The Hughes Family

For Eliott, Connecticut is more than a place to live—it is home. He and his wife, Keilani, have been married for nearly 25 years and have built their life together in South Windsor, where they have raised their three children, Eliana (15), Ethan (12), and Evan (9). As a family, they have invested their time, energy, and hearts into the communities that make Senate District 3 such a special place to call home. For more than a decade, they have faithfully attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newington, where faith, service, and community have remained central to their family's values.
Strong Families Better Connecticut Future Generations

Whether camping under the stars, hiking Connecticut's trails, or enjoying outdoor adventures across the state, the Hughes family embraces the natural beauty and traditions that define our region. They are active leaders and volunteers in their local American Heritage Girls and Trail Life USA troops, helping young people develop character, leadership, and a spirit of service. They also cherish the simple joys that make small-town life meaningful—picking strawberries, sharing ice cream, and holiday season at Dzen Farms, purchasing fresh vegetables, eggs, and milk from local dairy farms, supporting neighborhood butchers for quality meats and cheeses, and gathering around the table with desserts from local bakeries. These experiences keep Eliott connected to the people, families, farms, and small businesses that form the backbone of Senate District 3 and inspire his commitment to protecting and strengthening the communities he calls home.
